A little something about myself
I’m passionate about designing elegant but also easy-to-use interfaces that are meaningful and become great user experiences. I love thinking about the bigger picture and drawing the first lines of a concept, but I also get a kick from pixel perfection.
ExperienceFor more than 6 years now, I've been specializing in UI/UX design. During that period I worked part-time at Internet Architects in Antwerp as lead visual design, mainly for large businesses (the Province of Antwerp, Sanoma Media, Essentiel, Europeana Fashion, ...). Besides that, I did freelance work for somewhat smaller companies and startups, what made for a nice balance in challenges and opportunities. I'm lucky enough to have done some corporate identity and print work (business cards, stationary, record sleeves, and so on) for my clients as well. This allowed me to experiment with materials and artisanal printing techniques.
Since 2014 I teach interactive design at LUCA, School of Arts in Brussels. This is only one day per week and perfectly compatible with my next challenge: a career as a freelance UI designer. This includes doing functional and graphical design of digital products (websites, applications, mobile apps, interactive installations, ...).
